Scenic Route is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. – Noon. All times are Central. After hours and Sunday appointments are also available by request.
Are any deposits required?(back to top)
A reservation deposit is required to hold your reservation. This deposit transfers to your security deposit upon departure.
What are the requirements to operate/rent a Scenic Route unit?(back to top)
1.) All renters/drivers must be 25 years of age and hold a valid, national drivers license. They must be covered and pre-approved under an operator’s personal auto insurance policy (Binder Policy) or an MBA insurance policy purchased through Scenic Route. All potential drivers must be disclosed and approved prior to the rental of the unit. We reserve the right to deny service if for any reason management feels renter may be a credit or security risk, or for any other reason.
2.) Visa, MasterCard, or Discover Card must be provided in the Primary Driver/Renter’s name.
3.) Operation of any vehicle rented under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any other intoxicating agent is strictly prohibited.
4.) Travel to Mexico is prohibited.
Driving Practices: It is the responsibility of the renter and primary driver to practice safe driving procedures and that includes, but is not limited to: 1. Following other vehicles at a safe distance to aid in avoiding road hazards hidden by vehicles in front and to allow for additional stopping space, (remember that RVs require more stopping space); 2. Not entering side streets and roadways that are not prepared for tall, long or wide vehicles; 3. Taking care not to enter streets, roads or driveways where the vehicle rear may drag. Other safe driving tips for motor homes will be read and/or discussed at pick-up orientation.
What kind of equipment is included in the RV?(back to top)
Each RV is equipped with generator (RVs only), central air/heat, microwave/range, refrigerator/freezer, TV and VCR or DVD player.
What is your cancellation policy?(back to top)
Your initial rental down payment paid at the time that the reservation is taken, is non-refundable if canceled 30 days or less prior to the rental date. If you cancel your reservation with 31 days or more, you will receive a refund less a $50.00 service fee. Reservations are not confirmed until down payment is received.
How long can I rent an RV for?(back to top)
RVs can be rented for a minimum of 3 days. Our rates are broken down by 3-14 days, 14-19 days and 19 or more days. We also have special rates for extended rentals.
Do you require insurance?(back to top)
It is mandatory that all drivers are covered and pre-approved under a Binder Policy or an MBA insurance policy purchased through Scenic Route. This insurance is $35.00 per day. The MBA insurance can be purchased through Scenic Route. Scenic Route provides no liability insurance for you or other members of your party.
In addition, SLI (Supplemental Liability Insurance) is available through Scenic Route. SLI covers excess liability coverage up to a total of US $1,000,000.00 combined single limit of coverage per occurrence against claims made by third parties for bodily injury, death and/or property damage caused by operation of the vehicle. Exclusions apply. All coverages are subject to the terms and conditions of the rental contract.
Do you allow towing?(back to top)
Yes, towing is allowed on our RVs. Additional fees apply. Special equipment required to tow is not provided. Renter must not, under any circumstances, alter the wiring or permanent structures on the motor home. Renter must have insurance on the property being towed.
What happens if the RV breaks down?(back to top)

You simply show your Rental Care Road Service card for covered expenses and you are on your way. Do I need to bring any equipment/supplies?(back to top)
You should bring (if you wish) kitchen cooking supplies, dishes, silverware, can opener, spatulas, knives, bedding, towels, grills, lawn chairs and bikes. Scenic Route will soon be providing pots, pans and silverware in our units; inquire when you make your reservation.
Are instructions available?(back to top)
You will receive a full orientation of the unit, including client’s maintenance use and responsibility. Orientation consists of a video in English introducing general concepts and use of a motor home as well as a personal instructional walk around of motor home by a qualified instructor. Operator manuals are provided for clients to take with them in English. Please allow one to one and one and a half hours for the orientation/check-out process
Are there any restrictions on where I can take a Scenic Route unit?(back to top)
Some campgrounds may not allow motor homes greater than twenty-five feet in length. Please check in a campground guide or contact the campground in advance if you have any questions.
Scenic Route units are only to be driven on sealed (paved) roads. Also, travel to Mexico is prohibited. However, traveling to Canada is permitted.
